Harlem, NY, Oct. 9—Last week, a BioTechniques news article focused on the opening of the Harlem DNA Lab, an educational laboratory that promises to provide learning opportunities for New York City students and teachers.

This week, we’d like to share a video of the Sept. 23 opening ceremony and tour of the Harlem DNA Lab. Students demonstrated several of the educational programs that the facility will offer to New York middle and high school students.

The Harlem DNA Lab is the result of a collaboration between the New York City Department of Education and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The lab is supported through grants from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the Jerome L. Greene Foundation, and the Goldman Sachs Foundation.
